North Island Employment (NIEFS) has been connecting job seekers and employers since 1986.  Using our “no charge” employer services will assist businesses to access a qualified workforce.  NIEFS Employer Services include:

JOB POSTINGS: Post your job openings and reach thousands of potential employees via the web,, our Work Support Center Job Board, and/or NIEFS’ Jobs TV Channel.  NIEFS also offers the service of resume collection when posting your jobs.

Hiring Fairs: These give businesses the opportunity to meet numerous potential employees in a short period of time.  Space is limited at our hiring fairs so be sure to contact Shannon Baikie at 250 286-3441 or to express your interest in attending future hiring fairs.

SKILLS FOR SUCCESS: The youth Skills for Success program encourages employers to mentor youth ages 15-30, who are not currently in school, at no cost to the employer. Youth are paid during the work experience through North Island Employment (NIEFS). This federally funded initiative also offers a youth mentor and skills enhancement workshops throughout the youth's 12-week work experience and is offered exclusively in the Mount Waddington Regional District.
