At Broadstreet Properties we are searching for professional, dynamic individuals who are committed to high performance. The Contracts Coordinator works closely with the Asset Management division to source a variety of contractors and service providers for all multi-family properties.
Responsibilities:
• Produce timely and effective contracts that focus on capital projects, service agreements and seasonal maintenance
• Respond to requests from property, maintenance and capital projects staff, communicate project priorities, and act accordingly
• Negotiate contract terms and conditions, documenting any agreed changes
• Utilize knowledge of facilities and property maintenance to source for current and future properties
• Define and communicate detailed description of scope of work and payment schedule
• Liaise with site staff on a continuous basis to ensure quality standards
• Review and revise contractor proposals
• Authorize contracts and perform ongoing contract maintenance
• Ability to prioritize and respond accordingly
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors and key stakeholders
• Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, and employees
Qualifications & Experience:
Requirements:
• Post-secondary diploma in business, trades certification, or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in facilities or building maintenance
• Solid background in estimating and negotiating
• Knowledge of contract law if preferred
• Possess basic accounting skills
• Computer literate, including effective working skills in MS Office Suite and construction software
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with well-developed communication and negotiation skills
• Solid attention to detail with the ability to be a problem solver
• High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and reasoning
