Responsibilities:
* Within a team, administer sub trades contracts for all current and future builds
* Negotiate contract terms and conditions, documenting any agreed changes
* Liaise with construction site staff on a continuous basis to ensure quality standards
* Define and communicate detailed description of scope of work and payment schedule
* Support construction site staff and Project Managers in coordinating sub trades timeline
* Monitor contract renewal dates and make preparations accordingly
* Utilize well developed contract negotiation and communication skills
* Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors and key stakeholders
* Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, and employees
* Stay current on trade certification practices
Requirements:
* Post-secondary diploma in business, trades certification, or equivalent
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in wood frame construction industry
* Background in construction estimating
* Knowledge of contract law if preferred
* Possess basic accounting skills
* Computer literate, including effective working skills in MS Office Suite and construction software
* Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with well-developed communication and negotiation skills
* Solid attention to detail with the ability to be a problem solver
* High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and reasoning
* Able to work well under pressure and meet established deadlines
