Full Time Awake Residential Night Attendant
Details:
This is a full time Awake Residential Night Attendant position. Awake Residential Night Workers provide overnight support to individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health, challenging behavior, high medical needs, autism, addictions and assisting with personal care in a staffed residential setting (such as a group home).
JOB SUMMARY:
Ensures the well-being and safety of individuals throughout the night. Support individuals with a developmental disability with cleaning, cooking, self-care (personal hygiene and showering).
Applicants should have the ability to work as part of a team, problem solve, demonstrate crisis intervention skills, as well as have written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications & Experience:
A high school diploma
A minimum of 6 months experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or physical/medical/behavioral support needs or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Negative T.B test Clearance
Food Safe Certification
Provincial Criminal Record Check for the Vulnerable Sector and if applicable Local Criminal Record Check (Working with Youth)
Clear Health Certificate
Valid First Aid and CPR certification
Mandt Certification (Available training upon successful application)
