We are looking for a Leasing Representative to lead the client life-cycle and support our prospective clients in becoming aware, educated, and interested in Broadstreet’s product.
The Leasing Representative is responsible for building client relationships with prospective and current tenants. The Leasing Representative assesses sales needs through the Sales Manager and Rent Up Manager to support reduced rental vacancy for all regional operations. The Leasing Representative places a focus on sales targets, pipeline management, screening potential applicants and generating leases for both current and newly constructed rental properties. The role collaborates with site Leasing Agents to ensure reduced vacancy with a focus on relationship sales.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Respond to incoming prospect phone calls in order to educate, attract, and rent units
- Proactively contact site pipelines to ensure reduced vacancy rates
- Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, and schedule appointments
- Book appointments with potential tenants contact applicants for viewings or Security Deposits
- Promote current marketing initiatives and incentives to prospective clients
- Document client interactions in appropriate database or software
- Analyze effectiveness of sales programs, identify trends and make recommendations as required
- Complete pre-screening of applicants including credit check, employment check and rental references for pre-approval to rent
- Generate leases using Authentsign software
- Collect Security Deposits over the phone from tenants to secure units
- Support business development in the areas of market research, customer service strategies and vacancy rates to ensure site profitability and brand awareness
- Support the Rent Up Supervisor as required to rent newly constructed buildings
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2 years’ sales experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Marketing experience considered an asset
- Strong knowledge of retail sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques
- Advanced level of proficiency with MS Office Suite and data entry
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and customers
- Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a changing environment
- Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
