Are you a creative cook with the ability to produce quality food in large quantities? Do you have superior time-management skills and flourish under pressure? If so, the Sandtrap Restaurant & Lounge at the Campbell River Golf & Country Club is seeking a Catering Cook to join our team year-round!
The Catering Cook is responsible for top-notch food preparation and presentation for special events and occasions hosted at the Campbell River Golf & Country Club. The Catering Cook must work with the client to create, plan, and execute exceptional menus.
Responsibilities
- Plan menus and prepare attractive meals for large groups of guests
- Coordinate with other cooking and catering staff to ensure quality food service
- Assist with inventory and ordering of food and supplies
- Conduct delivery, set-up, service, and break-down of events
- Ensure proper food storage and handling guidelines are met
- Clean, re-stock, and take inventory of all products and equipment after event
- Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications & Experience:
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen
- Current Food Safe certification
- Previous cooking experience for large events
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must be able to stand for long periods at a time
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
- Early morning, day, evening, and night shifts may be required
