Volunteer Campbell River is a non-profit organization that connects people who care to causes that matter.
Position summary: To support growth in volunteer services and community engagement initiatives. Maintain the resource centre, provide reception and administrative services. Administer the Better Impact volunteer software system and maintain databases. Provide marketing and outreach services including online, written and oral communications. Provide support to Volunteer CR's in-house volunteer program and assist/organization events and celebrations.
This part time position will consist of 16 - 22 hours per week, usually Monday - Thursday between 10 am - 4 pm with some flexibility.
Qualifications & Experience: 
Competencies required:
At least 2 years working in or with a non-profit organization with program and volunteer management experience. - Ability to create cooperative and productive working relationships with non-profit agencies, staff, board members and volunteers.
Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. - Computer literacy - proficient with Office Suite including Excel spreadsheet/database management, software systems, internet and email.
Confident with social media tools and Wordpress website maintenance. - Organizational skills with ability to multi-task, organize and complete work independently and effectively, to prioritize tasks, and to work under pressure and to deadlines. - Friendly demeanor and enjoy working with individuals and groups from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures. - Event coordination skills and knowledge of fundraising practices. - A strong desire to make a difference in the community.
Qualifications: High school diploma with additional relevant post-secondary or equivalent experience. - Knowledge of community resources and experience working with community agencies and non-profit organizations. - Good time management and organizational skills, demonstrated ability to be self-directed, well organized, able to prioritize and multi-task. - Clear current Police Information Check. - Excellent communication skills, including online, written, and oral presentation. - Ability to foster and maintain positive relationships.
