Millwright

Trafigura Group has an immediate need for a qualified Millwright at its Myra Falls Mine on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Myra Falls Mine is an underground mine operation located 90 km southwest of Campbell River, BC in the picturesque surroundings of Strathcona Provincial Park. Surrounded by mountains and lakes, the trip to the mine has some of the world’s most impressive views.

This is an onsite position and camp accommodation during work schedule and transportation is provided. The shift schedule will be 7 days on, 7 days off, 12 hours, rotating days, and nights. Responsibilities
Reporting to a Maintenance Supervisor, Millwright’s play a key role in ensuring the safe and effective operation of
all Mill mechanical assets. More specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Assist in maintaining effective short and long–term maintenance of mechanical equipment.
• Assist monitoring for effective preventative and breakdown mechanical maintenance procedures.
• Assist liaising with warehouse and suppliers (if appropriate) regarding parts and consumables requirements and
plans.
• Provide progressive Processing operations through, keeping up to date with new developments in techniques
and computing for maintenance of mechanical equipment, and submission of ideas for more effective and
efficient procedures and methods.
• Actively participate in the Asset Management department team to support and promote agreed decisions of
the department.
• Consistently apply Workplace Management Procedures to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and
visions and values.
• Other duties as assigned.
