Health Care Relocations is a world-renowned organization that specializes in the relocation of medical facilities. This includes hospitals, specialized clinics, research laboratories and long-term care facilities. With our specialized knowledge and extensive experience, we have moved hospitals from Coast to Coast, all over North America from Montreal to Los Angeles, and we are expanding into Europe, Asia and Australia.
Successful candidates will be assisting HCR Relocation Team with the move of equipment at one or two sites based on candidate availability. These sites are Campbell River Hospital located at 375 2nd Avenue and/or St. Joseph’s moving into the newly built Comox Valley Hospital at 101 Lerwick Road.
Duties may include: Elevator Operator, unpackaging new equipment, pushing items on wheels in the “link”, assisting with the loading/unloading of trucks, cleaning equipment and other tasks deemed essential for the efficient transition for these two locations. No heavy lifting is required, but pushing items on wheels that may carry significant weight. Training and direction provided on-site.
Work days usually range from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
Qualifications & Experience:
We are looking for several candidates for each job site who are hard working and self-motivated, can follow directions to a key, punctual, and can work full days for the duration of the jobsite. Applicants will be required to wear company issued t-shirts as a uniform.
This position does require strenuous activity; fast walking, full days, and pushing items. Physically and mentally fit individuals who like to work hard and have fun are the perfect candidates. Prior moving or labourer experience considered an asset, although all applicants welcome. Possible reference and future employment opportunities can potentially result out of this temporary position.
