CareCorp Seniors Services is a contracted services provider to the senior care community in complex care and assisted living settings, providing services including nursing, personal care & support, recreation, professional therapies, food services, housekeeping, laundry and maintenance.

Multiple positions are available.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Responsible for day-to-day for the preparation, implementation and evaluation of recreation programs that meet a diverse population of residents.
• Ensures that every resident is involved in identified recreational activities in order to meet the goals of the resident's recreational treatment plan. Leads, instructs and motivates residents in individual and group leisure pursuits.
• Setup, organize equipment needed for specific program(s), and oversee residents involved by encouraging participation.
• Ability to follow safety policy and protocol in the community with residents and volunteers.
• Effective and professional communication skills with all facility departments.
• Ability to provide support to volunteers.
• Maintain inventory of department equipment
• Report risk, hazards, near misses, unsafe situations, incidents and accidents to Therapies Manager.
• Record and discuss residents' participation levels in programs
.• Escort, transport, assist residents to and from programs.
• Assists with Quality Assurance Program audits.
• Performs other related duties as requested by manager.
Qualifications & Experience:
Qualifications & Competencies
• Grade 12 plus completion of recognized Recreation courses plus two years of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Must be flexible with scheduling as position involves weekend and evening hours.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
