Milieu Children and Family Services is hiring a Full Time Youth Residential Manager
Location: Courtenay
The Residential Manager must have experience supporting youth with developmental disabilities, mental health issues, challenging behavior, high medical needs, autism, youth at risk, and may need to assist with personal care as needed in a staffed residential setting (such as a resource home).

JOB SUMMARY:
Plans, implements and oversees the day-to-day activities of a program. Participates in program development and facilitation, policies and procedure formulation, program evaluation and budget preparation. The Residential Youth Manager must have experience supporting youth with developmental disabilities, youth at risk, mental health issues, challenging behavior, high medical needs, autism, and assisting with personal care in a staffed residential setting (such as a resource home). The Residential Youth Manager position requires a flexible schedule and is a salaried position. The Residential Youth Manager flexes their schedule (9am to 5pm or 10am to 6pm etc…) as needed to ensure appropriate supervision and direction is available for both staff and the people we support.
Qualifications & Experience:
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• 1 year management leadership certification or equivalent, plus 2 years of social services related education (diploma), 2 years’ experience working with youth with developmental disabilities and 2 years of experience leading a team, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience/Knowledge in complex care needs, trauma training, positive behavioral support, community care licensing regulations, MCFD standards, and CARF accreditation standards. Experience managing residential group homes.
• Negative T.B test.
• Clear Criminal Record Check; Provincial and Local.
• Clear Health Certificate.
• Approved First Aid and CPR certification.
• Drivers Abstract.
• Class 5 driver’s license.
• Mileage is T2200
• Excellent verbal and written (grammar, spelling, format) communication skills.
• Ability to ensure confidentiality of information is maintained.
• Ability to work on a team and independently.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced team environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Must be adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Highly organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality.
