Day to Day Responsibilities:
- To provide medical services at community events, in an industrial and construction operations or in a patient transfer setting,
- May be required to work in remote industrial / wildfire settings for up to 14 days,
- Provide care from the initial point of patient interaction,
- Provide basic life support, including comprehensive patient assessments,
- Produce thorough patient care reports including the patient's status,
- Maintain documentation of required license, certifications, continuing education, and safety training; Attend continuing education programs pertinent to area of practice,
- Clean, decontaminate and check vehicles and equipment to maintain a state of operational readiness,
- Comply with all occupational safety and health programs to assure safety of self, medical personnel, patient, and equipment,
- Be knowledgeable in use and routine maintenance of all equipment and supplies used by Medix,
- Immediately report medical equipment failures and take initial steps to ensure repair of equipment as directed.
Job description:
- First aid coverage at public and private events,
- First aid coverage in an industrial setting either local or remote site requiring overnight or short term stay in a camp site or hotel (up to 14 days),
- Wildfire coverages will be remote and expected to start May of this year. (Must have class 4 BCDL and S-100 ticket)
Qualifications & Experience:
- First Aid Attendants with a minimum Occupational Level 3
- EMR / PCP paramedics licensed with a Paramedic In Industry ticket
- CPR-C ticket
The following are not required but considered an asset:
- Drivers with Class 4 BC License
- S-100 Ticket / Renewal
