Quatsino Economic Development LP is the business and economic development corporation of the Quatsino First Nation providing strategic and business advice, investments, products and services to the region. Through our family of companies we provide products and services in marine, forestry, mining, energy, commercial fishing, and tourism industries.
The principal role of the Bookkeeper / Office Assistant is to provide full cycle bookkeeping, office administration and procure supplies and materials. Additionally you will coordinate oversee a small team core and seasonal employees and operations for our marine business which provides a variety of products and services such as marine fuel, moorage, custom offloading and commercial fishing.
Qualifications & Experience:
To be successful in this position you must have demonstrated bookkeeping experience in areas of journal entries, posting and general ledger management, completing payroll, A/R, and A/P, adjusting entries, recording financial transactions, producing invoices, and account reconciliation. Keeping accurate and thorough records and proficiency using computer software including Sage (Simply), Microsoft Excel and Word are essential. Bookkeeping experience in a multiple business setting is preferred. Experience in project/program coordination is beneficial. Supervisory experience, coordinator experience, operational experience in marine or tourism setting are considered assets.
