We are looking for caring and enthusiastic individuals who possess excellent teamwork skills to join our team. Residential Care workers are members of a team responsible for assisting the residents in our group homes with activities of daily living and providing opportunities to promote independence, social skills and self-esteem.
*Shifts may include days, evenings, overnight, weekend shifts and statutory holiday shifts.
Once hired as a casual team member, you are welcome to continue your career on a casual basis or apply for any part-time or full-time positions posted internally.

Qualifications & Experience:
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License, (Class 4 upon 90 days of employment)
• First Aid and CPR
• TB test results
• Criminal Record Check
• Food Safe Certification
• Non Violent Crisis Intervention
• Must be willing to swim on a regular basis
Education & Experience
• Human Services Worker Certification or certification in a relevant field.
• Three to six months prior job experience (paid or volunteer), working with
people with developmental disabilities.
• Previous experience working with people with dual diagnosis and
challenging and/or aggressive behaviour an asset
• Possess a proven ability to calmly and effectively work with challenging
and aggressive behaviour
• Hold an understanding and ability to work with individuals with mental
disability and mental illness
• Display enthusiasm and energy and be a contributing team member
• Must be physically fit, willing and able to meet all physical demands of the
job
