Details:
Due to a well-deserved retirement, the District of Port Hardy is seeking a results-oriented professional who is passionate about improving service delivery to our community. This is a senior management position reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer and a key member of the District’s management team. In this role, the incumbent provides strategic leadership; providing advice on the planning and operations of the District including, but not limited to: roads, water, sewer & storm systems, risk management, facility maintenance, solid waste, parks, playfields, recreational facilities and harbours.
Preference will be given to those candidates who are able to demonstrate:
• 7 years’ experience related to local government operations, specifically including sewer and water systems, road design and maintenance, recreational facility maintenance, parks maintenance and fleet management;
• 5 years’ experience in a managerial position or higher;
• Project management and infrastructure planning;
• Certifications in water and wastewater operations would be considered an asset.
