Details:
Plans, schedules and assigns driver personnel for transportation operations.
Coordinates bus routes and stops for student riders.
Dispatches busses for field trips and other special events.
Provides general information to the public and other concerned parties regarding transportation
policies, procedures and applicable laws.
Communicates with appropriate individuals regarding problems concerning transportation.
Assists Supervisor in resolving public concerns.
Inputs data and information to records.
Updated transportation databases.
Operate two-way radio and other office equipment.
Drives bus as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
Secondary graduation (with Dogwood Certificate or equivalent).
Ability to understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions.
Knowledge of procedures for safe and efficient operation of busses.
Knowledge of methods and procedures used to maintain satisfactory discipline on busses.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficient with data entry, spreadsheets and word processing software.
Two to three years of recent school bus driving experience.
School District experience desirable.
Valid Class 2 Driver’s License with Air Brake Endorsement.
