Reports to: Shellfish Camp Manager/Aquaculture Manager
Purpose: To generate sales with existing customers and developing opportunities with new customer within Canada and overseas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify, establish, and develop business relationship with prospective customers to create new business based on the company products.
Set up and maintain accounts not only by selling products to customers, but also promoting company image when maintaining a long-term business relationship.
Work with customers to understand their business and needs, resolve customer issues and problems in a timely manner by exhibiting a sense of professionalism.
Conduct market research and trends to find out consumer demand, potential sales, and competition.
Arrange for shipping documentation and oversee the scheduling and dispatching of products, tracing goods transition and make follow-ups with customers.
Achieve set targets and objectives.
Identify and develop strategic sales initiatives
Developing strategies to increase sales conversion rates
Developing sales strategies to draw in potential buyers or to solicit new potential customers.
Provide customers with information about products and promotions
Providing feedback to other areas of the business, such as logistics, marketing & business development
Work as a team with purchasing, sales, quality assurance, warehouse, and accounting department.
Generate sales for cold storage facility/Shellfish farm
Be able to perform other duties, as assigned
Physical:
This work requires standing for prolonged periods.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on regular basis.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Basic understanding and experience of sales and marketing strategies
Knowledge of aquaculture industry an asset
Effective time management, planning and execution skills
Use of reliable vehicle with valid driver license
Proficiency with PC (working knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
Work Experience
Minimum 2 year of related work experience preferred
