Qualifications & Experience:
Sales and Administration
Do you love supporting local? How about contributing to the success of a local business, not just feeling like another cog in the corporate wheel?
Our family run business has been around 1989. We have seen a lot of recent growth and are poised for that to continue to increase with distribution across Canada and beginning export to the US. This position is a key role in that growth strategy with a variety of work to keep it interesting and long-term growth potential. This is a permanent position so we are hoping for someone to join us who will stay for the long term!
Tasks will primarily focus on doing online research to find new potential retail outlets, connecting with grocery store managers and distributor reps, answering phones and handling email correspondence, ordering ingredients and helping put them away when they arrive, arranging logistics for incoming/outgoing shipments, computer data entry, packing orders and getting them shipped off, running errands, and invoicing customers. As a small business, everyone helps with cleaning tasks. If you’re a foodie who loves to cook and take food photography to share on social media that would be great too. There will also be opportunity to put on a hairnet and apron to help on the production line when needed.
We are looking for someone who is fluent with computers, gets excited about landing new customers, enjoys talking in a relaxed but professional style on the phone (there are no high-pressure sales here) and likes to get up and pack the orders they took.
We have fun at work and hope you will too!
Starting hourly wage is $20/hr for 30-35 hours per week, Monday to Friday during business hours.
