NOTE: Two Parttime Positions
Under the supervision of the Child and Family Services Manager, the Elders will participate in developing cultural protocols and teachings to support staff and their caseload’s mental health and wellness through teachings and practice in Namima’s Service Delivery. This will include but not limited to case planning, family meetings, placement of children, attending community partnership meetings and other Child and Family Service Meetings.
Qualifications & Experience:
The successful candidate will possess a combination of education and experience that satisfy all of the following:
• Lived experience in overcoming addiction, sexual abuse, family violence, IRS, Day school, 60s Scoop, etc
• As this is in-reach work candidate is PREFERRED to have reliable transportation and hold valid BC class 5 driver’s license and clean driving record. (Recent driver’s abstract to be submitted) – but this is not a requirement
• Experience working with Rural Indigenous communities and/or non-profit organizations
Must be able to pass Criminal Record Check - Vulnerable Sector - required
