Details:
Assists clients to live successfully in residential settings, such as supportive housing programs.
Identifies client needs and risks, including physical, emotional social, vocational, and medical, and
provides skill building in identified areas. Develops and implements short-term, issue-specific
intervention plans within program guidelines. Plans and conducts individual and/or group
counselling sessions using basic counselling techniques.
Schedule: There are five different shifts at The Junction. The successful candidate may be asked to cover any of the following:
Shift A: 11:00 pm – 9:00 am
Shift B: 9:00 am – 7:00 pm
Shift C: 7:00 pm – 5:00 am
Shift D: 5:00 am – 3:00 pm
Shift E: 1:00 pm – 11:00 pm
There are two different schedules at The Junction. The successful candidate may be schedule to
work any of the following:
Schedule 1:
Week 1 – On: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday; Off: Thursday Friday, Saturday
Week 2 – On: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday; Off: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Schedule 2:
Week 1 – On: Thursday, Friday, Saturday; Off: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday
Week 2 – On: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday; Off: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
Qualifications & Experience:
Diploma in a related human/social service field
A minimum of one (1) year recent related experience which should include experience working with high risk adults in helping capacities
Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
