Full time-Dock Position/Handyman

Vancouver Island Air has been serving coastal British Columbia since 1985. We are Campbell River’s longest serving float Plane Company; operating De Havilland turbine Otters.

As a dock Assistant you will be required to multi-task, assist with docking aircraft, unloading and loading freight, and working in a face-paced team environment.


Responsibilities
• General Dock duties
• Tying up aircraft
• Unloading and loading aircraft
• Meeting delivery Trucks
• Greeting customers
• Tagging and weighing freight
• Docking aircraft safely
• Washing/cleaning aircraft
• Fueling aircraft
• Communicating with pilots and dispatch
• Escorting passengers to and from aircraft

Job Skills and Requirements
• Experience around aircraft and or marine experience
• Mechanical aptitude
• Able to lift 30 or more pounds or more
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions
• The ability to work in a team environment
• Able to multi task
• Positive outgoing attitude
• Enjoys working outside
