In addition to helping job seekers find work and employers find workers, NIEFS also employs approximately 40 people between our Campbell River and Port Hardy locations.

Employment Counsellor Team

Our Employment Counsellors/Skills Facilitators are the highest caliber of experienced and qualified career development professionals - all committed to working with you until you are successfully employed and to assisting employers to hire a skilled workforce.  Our friendly staff provide individualized employment/career coaching, facilitate motivating, insightful workshops and provide ‘in-time’ focused job search assistance in our staffed Resource Centre.

Our Employment Counsellors/Skills Facilitators meet the core qualifications outlined by the Canadian Standards and Guidelines for Career Development Practitioners and hold Undergraduate degrees or Post-secondary diplomas or certification in related fields. Many of our staff are members in good standing or are Certified Career Development Practitioners through the BC Career Development Association or Career Development Association of Alberta and the Chartered Professionals in Human Resources - BC/Yukon. Several of our staff hold additional qualifications as a Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Professional, Certified Assistive Technology Professional and/or Masters degrees in Counselling, Business, Human Resources, Community Economic Development and Educational Leadership.

Support Team

NIEFS is also fortunate to have a highly skilled and qualified support team that includes: Administration, Finance & Accounting, Data and Information Management, IT, and Marketing.
